Britney Spears Is 'Wildcard' On X Factor USA?

X Factor UK judge Tulisa Contostavlos has given her verdict on X Factor USA judge Britney Spears by revealing that the 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' hitmaker is a "wildcard" on the show.

Sharing her views on her US counterpart whilst talking to Capital FM, the judge who will return to our screens later this year alongside Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, the star said:

"I mean she is [one of the biggest stars] but I think it’s still a wild card because she is, I don’t know, a bit of a rebel.”

However, it appears that Simon Cowell disagrees after gushing about Brit in a series of interviews. Revealing that he is "fascinated" by the star, Simon told People magazine:

"It's quite interesting because when someone has done what she's done as she has with her career, and being such a public person, you kind of think she is going to be very confident, but in real life she's shy.

"There's kind of a mystique about her which I think is what kind of attracted me to her in the place."

He also revealed that Britney is taking her role on the show "really seriously", adding:

"She's not on the show to be Britney Spears on a TV show. She's actually there to prove to the world there's more to her, and she's got the ability to do this job really well. She's taken the role really seriously."
