Product description
Maroon 5’s highly anticipated fourth studio album Overexposed follows the extraordinary success of global hit “Moves Like Jagger” which was the second biggest selling single in the UK in 2011, with 1.2 million sales.
This single as well as the Wiz Khalifa-featuring “Payphone” are both included on the album, which was recorded last year in Los Angeles with producer Max Martin.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine said of the release: “Overexposed is definitely one of our most diverse and poppiest albums yet. We had a great time recording it.”
Guitarist James Valentine added, ““Moves Like Jagger” was the first time we ever worked with an outside writer, so we decided to try it some more on this record. At this point in our career I think it was a good thing to completely mix up our process and it yielded good results, as well as a more collaborative spirit within the band. We wanted to make something that sounded contemporary with the elements of a lot of early eras of pop music. This is our most pop record ever and we weren’t shy about really going for it.”

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2012I've got to be honest, I've loved Maroon 5 from the beginning and have got all of their albums. I'm not going to lie, I have played the Hands all Over album over and over and over again and driven people up the wall with it. Well, this is now getting the same treatment! I already have a few favourite tracks but already I wake up and have random parts of the songs in my head and have to immediately play them!
People complain about how musicians change their style over time but realistically you can't be playing the same sort of songs forever (I felt this way with McFly when they released 'Above the Noise' but it didn't take long for me to love that album either!)and I usually find that albums that grow on me are the best albums of all and ones that you don't tire of quickly :)
Quite simply, this album is awesome. Adam Levine is awesome. You should buy it and I'm sure you'll agree!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 September 2012This album is by far the best album Maroon 5 have done up to date. It has a potent mix of slow and upbeat tracks and that's exactly what a successful album needs and this is exactly what it delivered.
If you buy this album you will definitely have the songs you fall in love with, personally my favourites are 'Daylight', 'The Man Who Never Lied', 'Love Somebody', 'Fortune Teller' and 'Lucky Strike'. They're all songs what you can chill and listen to and they're not to slow and boring and that's what I love about them.
The funky album cover also adds to the excitement and fun of the album. The colours are very vibrant and groovy. What's good and different to any other recent album what's came out. If you've listened and loved Maroon 5's previous albums, you will definitely love this album. So buy it, you won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 December 2017Songs About Jane was amazing, It Won't Be Soon Before Long was great, Hands All Over was great, Overexposed is good.
V is ok, and Red Pill Blues is bad but not as bad as other music that isn't Maroon 5 because still Adam's voice is really nice.
"Sad" for me is really great, and the last song like that that Maroon 5 ever made... It's honest and stripped back, it's just perfect. "Lucky Strike" is also an amazing upbeat song. The 3 main singles, "One More Night", "Payphone" and "Daylight" are very nice but already I feel they are lacking something from previous singles.
As a massive Maroon 5 fan I think having all albums is worth it, and Overexposed is still a good one, so worth getting it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2012So I was a fan of Songs About Jane, a big fan. I thought that album was immense and between then and now hadn't really given Maroon 5 much thought but then my housemate started playing this and I thought "you know what, this isn't bad!"
Then I really got into it. I'm still not sure about the rapping cameo on Payphone but the rest of it is really good stuff. In fact I would say that aside from that blemish there isn't really much that has gone wrong.
Favourite tracks are: "One more night", "The man who never lied", "Sad" and "Doin' Dirt".
Good album from start to finish. Its a little poppy for my usual tastes but I appreciate good music when I hear it and that's why I have given the album 5 stars, a hooker and one that you keep going back to.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 November 2012I bought this cd for my sister but wish i hadn't because i want it!!{haha}. I like the front cover and like how quirky Maroon 5 are. My personal favourite's on this cd are Sad and One More Night. My advice is get to know the song's with bad language in so you can skip them when you've got the kids in the car so you can still get your Maroon 5 fix!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2013Having enjoyed several Maroon 5 singles over the last few years, I decided to take the plunge and download a full album. I was very glad to have done so. There is a perfect blend of dance-orientated tracks (with surprisingly intelligent lyrics) together with softer, slower ballad-style songs. Overall, I find this to be a great addition to my music library, especially for in-car listening.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2012I have been a big fan of Maroon 5 ever since I heard 'She Will Be Loved' on the album Songs About Jane, sadly ever since then they have gradually rolled downhill and this album seems to be carrying on the trend. The thing that made me love Songs About Jane so much was the fact that each song had such soul and Maroon 5 had their own style of music which was so unique and incredible.
Unfortunately I feel that Maroon 5 is now in it more for the money and has actually lost their love for the music. I must admit the only song I liked on this album was 'Beautiful Goodbye' which reminded me of Songs About Jane, disappointingly the rest of the songs do not compare. If you are considering buying this album I would asvise you not to. However I would recommend buying 'Beautiful Goodbye' on Itunes individually as this one is well worth getting!

5.0 out of 5 stars Go For It!
The album is great, I agree that it's the poppiest album yet of Maroon 5 but pop is fun especially when there's Adam Levine in it. You can't stop singing with it, it's just so catchy and....just buy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente álbum!
