Nicole Scherzinger 'Excited' For First Day As Permanent X Factor Judge

Nicole Scherzinger has expressed her excitement about taking her place as a permanent judge on the X Factor panel.

The star, who was officially confirmed as the new judge last week, took to Twitter yesterday (June 17) to let her fans know that she was excited to be joining her fellow judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh in Newcastle for the auditions.

The star, who appeared as a guest judge on the show in 2010 and earlier this year and was a judge on the US version alongside Simon Cowell, tweeted: "Just landed in Newcastle and the sun is shining:) So excited to start the UK X Factor tomm. Here we go...!"

Following the announcement that she had been chosen to replace Kelly Rowland, the star said:

"I’m so excited to join the UK X Factor family. It's where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle. I can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists."
