LOT Polish Airlines says it will fly its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners from Warsaw to Chicago starting in January 2013.
Chicago O’Hare International Airport becomes the fourth US city with announced 787 service, joining Boston, San Diego and San Jose, Calif.
LOT currently flies 767-300s to Chicago seven-times weekly, a schedule which increases to nine-times weekly this June.
LOT is expected to receive its first of eight 787s on order in the fall.
The Warsaw-based flag carrier of Poland says it will also launch a dedicated cargo service between Katowice, Poland, and Chicago. These flights will be operated using 767-200 Freighter aircraft wet-leased from Cargo Jet.
