Queensland Rail, also known as QR Limited, is a railway infrastructure and network operator in the state of Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1865 as a government-owned corporation by the Queensland Government. Previously known as Queensland Rail, Queensland Railways and Queensland Government Railways. QR Limited directly operates all commuter (Citytrain) and long-distance (Traveltrain) passenger services, and the majority of freight rail services (QRNational).
